Bandit introduced its SG-40W rubber-tire stump grinder at TCI EXPO ’22 in Charlotte, North Carolina, in November. Since developing the SG-40 track, this model has become popular due to its aggressive cutting action and economical price, according to Bandit. Even though the SG-40 has a turf-friendly, rubber-track undercarriage, Bandit saw the need for a rubber-tire model to further increase the capabilities of this series. The SG-40W features the same upper frame and three-position operator’s console as the track unit. What separates the two is the SG-40W’s wide-profile flotation tires. Each tire is driven by a powerful hydraulic motor for added power. The SG-40W is designed to be maneuvered with limited to no terrain damage. Bandit will begin production of the SG-40W in 2023 and is taking orders now.
