All Gear’s new Big Blue rigging ring is the largest offering in their lineup of aluminum rigging rings. With a 2-inch inside diameter, it is designed to work with rigging rope up to one-and-a-half inches in diameter. It has a minimum breaking strength (MBS) of 145kN. Rigging rings are designed to add friction up in the tree and relieve dependency on the base anchor for friction management. The outer circle of the ring can accommodate up to 1-inch, 12-strand hollow braid for making ring slings. Rigging-ring slings have grown in popularity in the tree care industry as an alternative to traditional rigging block systems. The key benefits include their being quick to set up, lighter than blocks and more affordable. Ring slings are also versatile and can be used as rigging points or redirects and to better manage friction when lowering loads.
