Husqvarna’s new 525DEPS MADSaw

Husqvarna’s new 525DEPS MADSaw (minimum-approach-distance saw, trade-marked MADSAW) is designed with operator safety in mind, as it is, according to Husqvarna, the first and only dielectric, gas-powered pole saw individually tested to meet the OSHA standard for electric-power generation, transmission and distribution (OSHA 1910.269). The MADSaw offers insulation to prevent electric conductivity, as well as extreme versatility, with its ability to be operated aloft in a bucket or in the tree as well as on the ground. Making it available in two lengths is intended to make it easier for operators to access hard-to-reach areas and increase productivity. The MADSaw’s purposefully designed, dielectric midsection can disconnect from the cutting head and powerhead for increased storage options, such as in a utility or arborist truck. The MADSaw comes equipped with Husqvarna’s 525 powerhead and a 25cc, 2-stroke engine with 1.34 horsepower and Husqvarna’s X-Torq engine technology designed for high performance and reliability. The tool is made of aluminum, with shaft seals and sealed bearings to allow its use in all kinds of weather. (
