Husqvarna’s new 525DEPS Madsaw

Husqvarna’s new 525DEPS Madsaw (minimum-approach-distance saw) is designed with operator safety in mind, as it is, according to Husqvarna, the first and only dielectric, gas-powered pole saw individually tested to meet the OSHA standard for electric-power generation, transmission and distribution (OSHA 1910.269). The Madsaw offers insulation to prevent electric conductivity, as well as extreme versatility, with its ability to be operated aloft in a bucket or in the tree as well as on the ground. Making it available in two lengths is intended to make it easier for operators to access hard-to-reach areas and increase productivity. The Madsaw’s purposefully designed, dielectric midsection can disconnect from the cutting head and powerhead for increased storage options, such as in a utility or arborist truck. The Madsaw comes equipped with Husqvarna’s 525 powerhead and a 25cc, 2-stroke engine with 1.34 horsepower and Husqvarna’s X-Torq engine technology designed for high performance and reliability. The tool’s aluminum couplers with shaft seals and sealed bearings are designed to allow its use in all kinds of weather. (husqvarna.com
