Samson’s HyperClimb double-braid climbing line

Samson’s new HyperClimb is an 11.7 mm, 100%-polyester, double-braid climbing line designed for both moving and stationary rope systems and climbers of all levels. It is designed to be durable with low elasticity – 1.3% at 540 pounds – to ensure that energy output is spent on the ascent. The 24-strand cover is intended to provide a supple hand feel with excellent grip and flexibility, and the polyester core was specifically engineered to work in tandem with the cover to minimize slack when under tension. Eliminating nylon from the construction significantly reduces the possibility of water absorption to prevent unwelcome increases in weight and diameter. HyperClimb was developed through a close collaboration with a team of the nation’s top arborists, including the team from ArborMaster Training. (www.samsonrope.com)
