Captain’s Blog: Industry Leaders Converge in a Virtual Tradeshow Booth

…and no one gets their toes stepped on!

The best thing about these “virtual events” is you can swing a bag of potatoes around and not actually hit anybody. But why would you be swinging a bag of potatoes? Well, why not? It’s your virtual event – you can kind of do what you want.

The one thing you will want to do at the TCI Virtual Summit is to catch the keynotes on all three days, then make your way to the TCI Magazine “booth” and talk (live!) with speakers, three of the industry’s best-known trainers. Bring your bag of potatoes and talk live with Dr. John Ball, Dr. Mike Raupp and Mark Chisholm about your tree care concerns.

Dr. John Ball, South Dakota State University

Need to know more about aerial rescue? Arborist accident updates? PHC business? Dr. Ball will be ready to chat with you on Wednesday January 13th from 1:00pm – 2:00 pm EST.

Dr. Mike Raupp, University of Maryland

Are the bugs bugging you and your trees? Talk directly with The Bug Guy, Dr. Mike Raupp on Friday, January 15th from 12:00pm – 1:00pm EST. Maybe he’ll explain the best way to carry a tarantula. Eew.

Mark Chisholm, CTSP

How about talking shop with Mark Chisholm, STIHL’s resident expert climber and thrill seeker? Get his viewpoints on mechanical ascenders, hitch cord, and of course chain saw cuts for tree removal. Meet him at 10:00 am – 11:00 am EST to compare notes.

Take this chance to talk with these industry celebs in “person” without violating social distance protocols. You might as well download some great articles, or get a free magazine subscription while you’re there. Get a free subscription for your bag of potatoes, as well.

The TCI Virtual Summit starts in two weeks (or next, year, depending on how you view your time) from January 13th – 15th, 2021. These three days have all the gear and equipment discounts, as well as the cool prizes you can share with your new friends, John, Mike and Mark.
