No Lone Chipper Operators

I just finished reading the August 2021 issue of TCI Magazine. This, of course, included the From the Field article, “Charity (Tree Work) Begins at Home: An Uplifting Experience,” by Donald Blair, concerning the windstorm damage to his truck.

He stated that the tree service he contacted sent out one employee with a chipper to get rid of the brush. I’ve been in the tree business for 40 years. We never operate our chippers with fewer than two workers, mostly three or four. It is my opinion that accidents don’t happen with chippers – fatalities do.

I just thought you could include a note in a future publication that some tree services only provide multiple employees when operating their chippers.
