A worker was killed when he fell 30 feet June 23, 2025, in Long Island, N.Y. The 32-year-old worker was standing on a branch of a mostly dead Norway maple over a driveway. They were rigging big pieces out with a lowering line in the same leader as the climber’s line, according to a report given to TCIA. The limb the victim was standing on and a supporting limb both broke, and the worker fell and was crushed by one of the falling limbs, according to a Monsey Daily Voice report.
