TCI EXPO: Getting Excited About Ft. Lauderdale! Pt. 3

Wondering what’s on the trade show floor? We asked some of our presenters, instructors and teachers what they’re most excited about at TCI EXPO in November!

What are you most excited to showcase at TCI EXPO ‘26?

We are very excited to be in Florida this year and connect with customers from across the forestry industry! We’re especially looking forward to giving attendees a first look at a new product and sharing ideas during our educational session, “Building the Ideal Forestry Equipment Fleet: Choosing the Right Equipment for Every Job.” Attendees can get hands-on experience with our forestry-equipment lineup and see our trucks in action during the outdoor equipment demos.

What do you hope attendees will take away from the experience?

We hope attendees leave with a few new ideas they can put to work in their own fleets and a better understanding of how Custom Truck One Source can support them beyond the equipment itself. Whether it’s sales, rentals, service or long-term fleet planning, we’re here to help keep their operations moving!

What are you most excited to showcase at TCI EXPO ‘26?

We’re bringing the Academy Team back to the TCI EXPOClimb stage for sessions like “Get the Most From Your Friction Saver” and “Technical Rigging Simplified.” But the real magic isn’t on the stage – it’s in the five minutes afterward, when someone walks up and says, “OK, but what if I tried it this way?” That’s when real learning happens. Not in a slideshow, but in someone’s hands, using it in application.

We’re not showing up to demo products. We’re showing up to inspire growth in how people climb for the rest of their careers.

What do you hope attendees will take away from the experience?

The best education in our industry isn’t confined behind a paywall or a classroom door; it’s freely available on the trade-show floor, waiting for you to discover it. Academy Trained exists to elevate the standards of this industry through safety, training and innovation. Our mission is simple: “Train till no one dies.” Every session we hold at TCI EXPO embodies this commitment, helping one climber at a time.

I want everyone who visits the TCI EXPOClimb stage or the Academy booth to leave with at least one insight that transforms their approach next week, whether it’s a better anchor, a safer system or a powerful conversation that lingers long after TCI EXPO. This isn’t just a goal for us; it’s the very essence of our presence here.

This industry has given me everything: my career, community and purpose. TCI EXPO is one of our greatest opportunities to give back. So come find us! Ask the challenging questions, engage with the gear and share what’s truly happening on your job site. We’ve created our booth to be a space where people want to stop, stay and leave enriched. This is an open invitation, not a sales pitch.

What are you most excited to showcase at TCI EXPO ‘26?

Sherrilltree will once again have a strong presence in the TCI EXPOClimb area, alongside our family of brands, including Notch Equipment, Sterling and Silky. We’re especially excited to offer attendees great deals on arborist gear. We’ll also be launching new products from Notch Equipment, giving attendees one of the first opportunities to see, try out and purchase them. In addition, visitors can get “hands-on” with Silky products and Sterling ropes through live demonstrations before purchasing products at the Sherrilltree booth and interacting with our ambassadors.

What do you hope attendees will take away from the experience?

We want attendees to leave with more than just great gear – we want them to experience the quality, innovation and expertise behind the brands we represent. By providing exclusive products, live demonstrations and the opportunity to interact directly with our team, we hope visitors leave feeling confident they’ve found the right equipment for their work and inspired by the latest innovations in the arborist industry.

What are you most excited to showcase at TCI EXPO ’26?

I’m excited to reframe how we talk about mental resilience in the industry. It’s usually discussed in the context of wellness or employee wellbeing – important, but disconnected from the daily reality of the job. My session on “Industrial Athletes: Building Mental Resilience” puts it in the context of safety instead. We’ll look at what’s actually happening in the brain under stress, using neuroscience and real wearable data collected during ultra-endurance training, and we’ll show that mental resilience is trainable in the same deliberate way physical fitness is. If we can train our bodies to handle the physical demands of tree work, we can train our brains to stay clear and make good decisions, even in high-stakes situations.

What do you hope attendees will take away from the experience?

Arborists are industrial athletes, and there’s a lot we can borrow from how ultra-endurance athletes build a durable mind long before they need it – not in the moment adversity hits, but in the training that comes before it. I want attendees to leave with a practical framework for stress inoculation and pre-task mental conditioning: real tools they can start applying on their next job.

What are you most excited to showcase at TCI EXPO ’26?

The Women’s Tree Climbing Workshop is most excited to showcase the talks we are hosting at TCI EXPOSaw and the return of our Cookie Monster Chain Saw Challenge.

What do you hope attendees will take away from the experience?

Our hope and goal is to have people new to the industry or folks who have been attending for more than 20 years come to TCI EXPOSaw and lean in. Relearn, engage and have fun!
