TCI Magazine is the leading trade publication for the tree care industry. We welcome article and photo submissions from professionals across the field – arborists, climbers, trainers, business owners, researchers, educators and advocates – who want to share practical knowledge, real-world experience and thoughtful insights with their peers.

Our goal is to publish content that's useful, credible and grounded in professional practice, while also reflecting the wide range of voices and experiences that make up today's tree care industry.

We got the editing – we need your experience!

We're interested in technical and professional articles that provide educational value and are relevant to the business, safety and practice of tree care or closely related fields.

We can help get your article over the finish line, but a strong submission starts with:

  • Practical knowledge readers can apply in the field or the office
  • Roots in real-world experience, research or training
  • Current best practices and professional standards reflected
  • Clear and well organized points for an industry-savvy audience

We especially value articles that incorporate multiple perspectives, such as:

  • Collaboration between crew members, trainers and managers
  • Insights from both field staff and leadership
  • Case studies that include lessons learned, not just outcomes

Important! TCI Magazine is also looking for quality video and photo content for use across our various channels – please use the link below to submit!

Got a new product? Try a Product Review!

Product Reviews are a 300-400 word features of TCI Magazine. The primary goal of a product review video is to educate tree care workers and to give them options for their daily work tasks. Products selected for review are based on innovation (how is this different than similar products?) and unique design.

Got a question before submitting?

If you're unsure whether your idea is a good fit, we encourage you to reach out before submitting. We're happy to discuss article concepts and help guide contributors toward successful submissions.

We look forward to hearing from you—and to sharing your expertise with the broader tree care community.

(File types such as .PNG, .GIF and .DOC are not acceptable for print.)

Orientation: If you have both landscape (horizontal) and portrait (vertical) visuals, please send us both, as this allows for more layout options

Safety Standards

Images depicting tree care professionals at work must reflect proper safety practices at all times. Photos showing unsafe behavior or missing required PPE will not be used.

A Practical Tip

Take—and submit—more photos than you think we need. The more, the merrier! Multiple angles, steps and details give editors and designers far more flexibility and greatly increase the chances that your visuals will be used.
