A climber died August 7, 2025, in Morrison County, Minnesota, when the tree he was working in collapsed. Daniel Dickman, 57, of Hillman, was cutting a large tree in sections when a section swung into the section he was standing on, shattering it and sending him down more than three stories. A cut section then landed on him. Dickman died at the scene, according to a KNSI report.
