A man was killed when he came in contact with a power line June 2, 2025, in Amboy, Illinois. Daniel Hicks, 55, of Earlville, Ill., was trimming a tree from a lift when he came in contact with a power line. Hicks was alive when emergency crews arrived, but they waited for the power to be shut off before they were able to help him, according to a WIFR Newsroom report.
