A woman died after being struck by a tree she was cutting April 29, 2023, at her vacation home in Ossipee, New Hampshire. Phyllis Mary Carifio, 81, of Revere, Massachusetts, was cutting a tree with her nephew when the tree fell and struck her. She was rushed to a local hospital, where she died, according to a New Hampshire Union Leader news report.
