TCIA and ArborMAX Insurance to Conclude Endorsement Partnership

The Tree Care Industry Association and ArborMAX Insurance have mutually agreed to conclude their endorsement partnership on June 26, 2026, bringing to a close a relationship that began in 2009.

The endorsement was introduced at TCIA’s Winter Management Conference and played a key role in expanding access to insurance solutions for tree care companies. At the time, it helped enable the addition of workers’ compensation coverage, addressing a critical need across the industry.

Funds provided by the endorsement were used to help develop key TCIA safety programs and to provide industry-specific loss control services, conducting more than 2,000 on-site evaluations during the course of the partnership.

Over the years, the program provided coverage options to a wide range of businesses and contributed to broader access to insurance.

Industry conditions have shifted significantly since the program’s launch. Changes in the insurance market, increased mechanization and evolving risk factors have altered how companies manage coverage and operations. As a result, TCIA and ArborMAX agreed that ending the endorsement reflects current market conditions.

TCIA said it will continue to provide safety analysis and loss prevention services to insurers and tree care companies. The organization plans to maintain its focus on improving safety practices across the industry, even as it moves away from endorsing specific insurance programs.

The conclusion of the ArborMAX endorsement represents a transition for TCIA, as it adapts its approach to meet the changing needs of the tree care sector. If you have any questions please contact Bob Rouse, TCIA’s senior vice president of industry expertise, at brouse@tcia.org.
