TCIA’s Winter Management Conference in February 2026.

Michael Raupp, Ph.D.

Award of Merit: Michael Raupp, Ph.D.
Known as “The Bug Guy,” Dr. Raupp, a professor emeritus and extension specialist in the Department of Entomology at the University of Maryland, received this honor for making complex insect science accessible to professionals and the public through his books, videos, blog and media appearances. His exceptional training programs on integrated pest management equip professionals with essential knowledge to protect trees, landscapes and ecosystems.

Chair’s Award: Mark Chisholm, CTSP
Third-generation ISA-certified arborist Mark Chisholm, of Aspen Tree Expert Company, was honored for his outstanding leadership, global impact and service to the industry. His expertise has made him a sought-after consultant and spokesperson who travels worldwide to collaborate with arborist associations, conduct educational sessions and strengthen professional standards.

Pat Felix Volunteer of the Year: Andy Jones, CTSP
Andy Jones, of Rooted Arbor Care, received this award for going above and beyond as a TCIA volunteer. His meaningful contributions through TCI Magazine, collaboration with TCIA teams and his ability to foster industry connections have created lasting impact. At TCI EXPO ’25, he provided the live tree for the Tree Demo and championed local support, exemplifying dedicated service across multiple channels.
