Bartlett Tree Experts, a 50-year TCIA member company based in Stamford, Connecticut, in August acquired Forest City Tree Protection.

Forest City Tree Protection, founded by William P. Lanphear Jr., has been in business and a leader of the tree care industry for 115 years, since its opening in 1910. From its earliest development, Cleveland has been known as “The Forest City” for its abundance of trees and green spaces.

Forest City Tree Protection has been a TCIA member company since 1948. William P. Lanphear III was TCIA (then the National Arborist Association) Board president in 1971. Lauren Lanpear, owner of Forest City Tree Protection most recently, followed in his father’s footsteps as Board present in 1993.
