TCIA Welcomes New Board Member Megan Townsend

The Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) is pleased to announce Megan Townsend’s election to its board of directors. Megan is the co-founder and chief operating officer (COO) of Altitude Arborists LLC, a full-service tree company offering science-based tree care techniques, tree removal, pruning, planting and plant health care. Altitude Arborists is a five-year TCIA member company based in Broomfield, Colorado.

We are excited to welcome Megan to the TCIA Board of Directors,” says David White, TCIA president & CEO. “Her passion for the industry and insightful input will be instrumental as we continue to foster growth and expansion within this sector.”

Megan is dedicated to serving her community and advancing the tree care industry. “I share the Board’s core values of commitment, teamwork, strategic thinking, openness and industry stewardship. The more individuals we involve with TCIA, the greater strides we can make in advancing our field. I fully endorse TCIA’s vision to enhance the public perception of the tree care industry and make it a more appealing career option,” she says.

Megan’s extensive experience on various boards has fueled her passion for collaborative problem-solving and industry improvement. She is particularly dedicated to enhancing member engagement, promoting safety and education, advocating for industry interests and addressing workforce challenges.

Currently, Megan holds the position of Chair at the Colorado Tree Care Sector Partnership and has recently become a member of the Board of Colorado Arborists and Lawn Care Professionals. In the past, she contributed to TCIA as part of the TCIA Dues Task Force and volunteered for events such as Saluting Branches and the ProGreen Expo.
