Fanno Saw Works Joins Superior Fruit Equipment

East Wenatchee, WA – 4/1/2021

Superior Fruit Equipment, a leading manufacturer of pruning tools and harvest equipment, has acquired Fanno Saw Works, a 100-year-old company that produces high-quality pruning saws. The move to acquire Fanno Saw Works first started several years ago when Superior planted the seed at a trade show with Fanno. The process took a few years, as Robb Fanno wanted to see his company to 100 years old. The final deal was signed in March of 2020.

“Adding Fanno Saw, a 100 year-old company, to Superior’s three 100-year-old brands is a perfect fit for all,” says Jeff Martin, president of Superior Fruit Equipment. “Since we have been a Fanno distributor for the past 27 years, we have full knowledge of their product line and want to build on their success.”

The acquisition of Fanno Saw Works fits into Superior Fruit Equipment’s strategy to manufacture and sell the highest quality pruning tools available, according to Martin. By purchasing Fanno Saw Works, it also expands the market opportunity for their other brands.

“We intend to incorporate the best features of all our product lines in the future. This includes increasing our inventories in an effort to ship all of customer’s orders in a timely manner,” says Martin. Superior Fruit Equipment is the manufacturer of Hickok and Vaca pruning tools and Wells & Wade Harvest Equipment. In addition, they are the exclusive North American importer and distributor of Manaza Clippers. Their brands are currently sold in most major fruit growing regions around the world.
