Groundwork software is a virtual sales system that has been utilized in the hardscape/landscape industry and is now available for tree care companies. Groundwork, a new TCIA corporate member company based in Zionsville, Indiana, designed its system to make it easy for tree care companies to get video walk-throughs of proposed projects from property owners. It allows them to see the property and surrounding area ahead of an in-person appointment. Unlike gathering still photos, Groundwork’s use of video aims to provide contractors a clearer picture of site conditions, access and potential equipment requirements. The system is designed to be simple and convenient for the property owner, and is compatible with any mobile device with a camera. While a consultation may still be necessary, Groundwork is designed to enable contractors to quickly collect critical information in a way that matches other buying motions their clients experience in their everyday lives.
